1. Why Special Counsel?
We have been providing the legal community with workforce solutions for ten years. In the last few years, we realized that the need for professionals to perform medical record review was in great demand. Our existing clients were struggling to locate highly qualified medical-legal professionals to review, analyze and summarize medical charts. We studied the best way to recruit candidates, and trained our placement directors to fill this niche. Our clients asked for this service, and we are delivering with Legal Nurse Services.
2. How do you screen your candidates?
Just as the legal professionals you are used to seeing from Special Counsel go through a rigorous screening process, our legal nurse consultants experience the same credentialing before we make them available for assignments. Each candidate goes through a multi-step process: application, personal interview, and a complete verification of work history, education, certification, and three professional references.
3. How many nurse consultants will be assigned to my project?
Depending on the complexity, size, and nature of the medical record review and requested work product, we will assign the appropriate number of consultants to guarantee quality while meeting your deadline. No job is too big or too small.
4. Do the nurse consultants work from home?
Special Counsel’s nurse consultants do not work from home. The consultants work within your office space so you can provide direction and specifics about preferred formats and timelines. We are here to assist you.
5. What if I don’t have the time to supervise the consultants or don’t have the space to house the consultants?
Legal Nurse Services is pleased to provide an alternative to traditional staffing through our secure Project Center located outside of Washington, DC. Our trained professionals are ready to receive your records and perform your medical record review from start to finish. A project manager oversees each project ensuring proper quality control and turnaround time. They can also supervise record ordering, scanning, redaction, binding, or any other services your specific project requires.
